Membership in WICF is open under one of the following eligibility requirements:
- Anyone currently employed by a NERC Registered Entity operating in the Western Interconnection,
- Anyone under contract by a NERC Registered Entity operating in the Western Interconnection to perform work related to NERC compliance for that Registered Entity,
- Anyone currently employed by a NERC Registered Entity operating in the Western Interconnection that previously had a defined NCR number but has been deregistered
- Anyone employed by a company which has received written confirmation from WECC of a pending NERC registration, or
- Employees of industry organizations or trade associations whose membership in WICF is determined to be beneficial to the membership. Industry organizations and trade association memberships will be approved by the WICF Steering Committee.
To apply for WICF Membership please complete the following two steps:
Step 1 – Create an EEI account at EEI.org
Go to EEI.org, click the blue “Sign In” button in the upper right corner, then click “Create an Account.” You do not need to be an EEI member to create an EEI account.
Step 2 – Complete the WICF Membership Request Form
Once your EEI account is created, fill out the WICF Membership Request Form and click Submit to begin the request process. Please watch your email in case any follow up information is requested.
